In May 2019, I got my first film camera. I had been debating for a long time whether I should make the jump to film or not. I ended up buying my Olympus on Depop on an impulse buy for £25. It's almost a year later and I don't regret my decision one bit.

Film photography is making a big comeback at the moment, almost everybody is taking photos on film and on disposable cameras. It's becoming trendy and it's easy to see why. Film photos are authentic, the photos produced from film cameras are raw and real. Taking film photos has become one of my favourite things to do.
Kyoto, Japan - July 2019
As a 2nd year Graphic Design student, photography is very important to me. It's my favourite medium to explore and to use. And with film you can't see the photo until it's developed which means every shot you take has to be meaningful, you can't waste it on just anything. And you end up paying more attention to what you're shooting instead of just pulling out your phone quickly taking a photo and then putting it away.
Paris, France - November 2019
Film has definitely improved my photographic skills, it's made me look at things differently and it has made me pay more attention to my surroundings and to the little things around me.

This is my most recent shot, and it's one of my favourites already. Because the big picture is a nice shot of Vauxhall Bus Station on a sunny day. But when you look closely, you see a couple walking together. His hand is on her shoulder and her hand's around his waist. It's such an intimate moment and it's forever captured in this photo.
